Daniel Katzman
Volunteer
Daniel is a Clinical Research Volunteer for the PREDiCTOR Study at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is currently a senior at New York University studying Psychology and Business in the College of Arts and Sciences. Daniel has volunteered for the Genomics in Psychiatry Cohort Study at the Mount Sinai Blau Center where he contributed to research on Schizophrenia.
Daniel has a keen interest in how AI can be used to improve personalized care for patients suffering with mental illness. His current project involves using LLM’s fed with EHR patient data to predict future psychiatric hospitalizations and ED visits. Daniel is also curious about how AI might help contribute to the personalized care of individuals diagnosed with personality disorders. Daniel plans to pursure a PhD in Clinical Psychology to conduct further research on these topics, as well as to expand his involvement in the potential for personalized medicine in mental health settings.
